Our Terms and Conditions

COVID-19 - The Company reserves the right to cancel or reduce bookings in order to comply with all U.K. Government imposed restrictions due to the Covid-19 global pandemic.  We will do our utmost to immediately contact The Customer if new regulations are implemented either on a national or local level.  Where a deposit or full payment has been received in advance of the booking, all monies will be repaid by the Company if we're unable to honour the booking.

The boring bit (it keeps the lawyer happy!) - TERMS & CONDITIONS – there are only 11 of them!

Definitions
“The Company” is Wirral Table and Chair Hire Limited.
“The Customer” is any fabulous individual, company or organisation to which Wirral Table and Chair Hire Limited has the privilege to be contracted to supply our goods and/or services.
“Goods” are any items that are the subject of any contract between Wirral Table and Chair Hire Limited and the Customer, regardless of ownership.
“The contract” is any written or verbal agreement between the Customer and Wirral Table and Chair Hire Limited for the latter to provide goods and/or services.

 

So, the T’s & C’s :-

 

  1. Hire goods remain the property of the Company at all times.

  2. During the continuance of the hire period, which shall commence from time of delivery and end when the goods are recollected from site, the Customer shall be responsible for the safe keeping and maintenance of the goods in good and substantial repair and condition.

  3. Any damage caused to hired goods, beyond reasonable wear and tear, will be the responsibility of the Customer. Any repair work necessary as a result will be chargeable.  The Chiavari chairs are our wedding chairs with foam seat pads and should never be left outside if the weather turns.

  4. In the event of the total loss, or irreparable damage, of any hire goods for any reason whatsoever, the Customer shall be responsible to the Company for the full value of such goods plus the hire charge. It is the 
Customer’s responsibility to insure against such risk. The period of hire ends only when the Company has accepted each item upon collection.

  5. The Company will make every endeavour to deliver and collect the hire furniture at the time indicated by the Customer, but will not be liable for any loss (including indirect, contingent or consequential loss), damage, costs, claims or expenses incurred should any delay or delivery/collection failure due to circumstances beyond its control, including Acts of God. 

  6. The Company does not accept any liability for any damage or injury to goods or persons caused by the misuse of the hire furniture.

  7. These terms and conditions govern the hire furniture to the exclusion of any other oral or written agreement. No amendment of these terms and conditions shall be effective without the prior written consent of the Company.

  8. These terms and conditions shall be governed and constructed and shall take effect in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.

  9. The Company may assign the benefit of its contract with a third party at any time after giving written notice to the Customer. The Customer may not assign this agreement without the prior written consent of the Company.

  10. The Company is only hiring out goods and will under no circumstances sell any items to the Customer.

  11. Failure by the Customer to pay for the goods by the due date stated on the invoice, the Company reserves the right to apply interest at the rate of 9% per annum, pro rata'd unit payment is received in full.

Wedding bookings - payment terms

DEPOSIT - £50 is payable within 7 days on accepting the rental agreement.  We will confirm safe receipt of all monies received in writing on email to you.  The balance payment is due 3 (three) days prior to the delivery date.  If payment is not made in accordance with these terms, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit paid.

CANCELLATION - In the event you need to cancel your booking, you must send written notification to us.  Your cancellation will be effective from the date of receipt by us.  If you cancel within 30 days of the hire date, we reserve the right to retain the £50 deposit paid.

In a nutshell, we’re delighted you’re a new customer (or an old and valued friend) and our simple aim is that we want to exceed your expectations and ADD VALUE with our fab equipment and PERSONAL service. We just need you to look after what we’re dropping off so we can come back and help you again for repeat business. And for us to supply the same equipment that you’ve hired to our other great customers which may be tomorrow, next week and beyond.
